SPOON-FED:

How you can support Lovin’ Spoonfuls this holiday season – and beyond.

It’s the holiday season which, for lots of people, means giving thanks and giving back. If you’re among them, read on! As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Lovin’ Spoonfuls relies on your support to carry out our food rescue and hunger relief mission, rescuing more than 85,000 pounds of food – enough for almost 70,000 meals – for people facing food insecurity across Massachusetts every week!

Donate

Your contributions help us keep our trucks on the road, rescuing good food and preventing it from going to waste – and there are so many ways to do it. You might also consider making a gift to a Spoonfuls’ nonprofit partner in your area.

Fundraise for us

Encourage your friends and family to get in on the giving by hosting a fundraiser for Lovin’ Spoonfuls! Connect with our Development team on the types of fundraisers you can host and for tips for making your fundraiser a success.

Get your workplace involved

Lovin’ Spoonfuls partners with organizations to spread awareness of our mission to reduce wasted food and increase food security. Learn more about events, corporate engagement, and employee giving from our Director of Development, Corporate & Foundation Relations, Kati Sigel.

Help us spread the word

From sharing our latest Instagram post to inviting us to speak with your class or community group about food waste and hunger, you can help us spread the word about these important issues and our food rescue mission.

Inform our work

Lovin’ Spoonfuls has four Community Advisory Boards (CABs) that help inform the way we work in the communities where we have a presence – Greater Boston, MetroWest, Worcester County, and Hampden County. Currently, we’re looking for additional people to join our Hampden and Worcester County CABs. Learn more and apply.

Speak up on the issues

While we’re working to meet an immediate need for fresh, healthy food, we’re also committed to addressing the root causes of hunger and climate change and building a fairer food system. We do this through advocacy – and you can help! Learn about our advocacy priorities.

Volunteer with a nonprofit partner

While Lovin’ Spoonfuls utilizes professional staff, rather than volunteers, to do the work of food rescue, many of our nonprofit partners utilize volunteer support throughout the year. Look for a volunteer opportunity near you.
