SPOON-FED:

Just the Facts: Mikayla Lydon

Joining the team in January of this year, Mikayla Lydon is coming up on one year as Lovin’ Spoonfuls’ Marketing & Communications Manager. If you’ve interacted with Lovin’ Spoonfuls’ social media accounts in the past 11 months, chances are she was on the other side!

In her own words, here are three things you should know about Mikayla:

1. Like all Spoonfuls staff, I try my best to minimize the amount of wasted food I create. But for the waste I do generate, I compost with Boston’s Project Oscar. Composting is important because it produces a smaller amount of greenhouse gases than organic material that decomposes in a landfill, and it can be used to grow new food.

2. I participated in my first CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) this summer from Red Fire Farm, which happens to be a Lovin’ Spoonfuls’ vendor partner.

3. I’ll tell anyone who will listen how much I love backbends! They’re my favorite part of any yoga class.
