On Sunday, November 10th, Lovin’ Spoonfuls held the 3rd Annual Ultimate Tailgate Party on the waterfront at Sam’s. The evening kicked off with champagne and delicious pulled pork and fried oyster steamed buns from L’Espalier’s Frank McClelland. Guests were then treated to cocktails shaken by local mixologists Jon Parsons and Josh Childs and enjoyed tasty bites from our incredible lineup of chefs, including falafel from Colin Lynch of Menton and No. 9 Park, seafood ceviche from Jeremy Sewall of Lineage, Island Creek Oyster Bar, and the forthcoming Row 34, cassoulet from Toro and Coppa’s Jamie Bissonnette, pizza straight from Posto’s mobile pizza oven, and much more!
We welcomed Mayor Menino as our guest of honor, thanking him for his commitment to both the organization and to healthy food initiatives throughout the city. We even sent the mayor home with his very own oversized spoon! Other highlights from the evening included 11 year New England Patriot Matt Light posing for pictures with guests and showcasing his new business venture, KEEL Vodka, emcee Charlie Rose entertaining the crowd, as well as the return of everyone’s favorite football-themed photo booth, courtesy of Mike Young at StopDownFire Photography.
