Join a Community Advisory Board
Lovin’ Spoonfuls has four Community Advisory Boards (CABs) that help inform the way we work in the communities where we have a presence – Greater Boston, MetroWest, Worcester County, and Hampden County. Currently, we’re looking for additional people to join our Hampden and Worcester County CABs.
Lovin’ Spoonfuls partners with organizations to spread awareness of our mission to reduce wasted food and increase food insecurity through events, community engagement, and other collaborative efforts. Email us for more information.
Host a Plenty Workshop
Plenty is Lovin’ Spoonfuls’ education program aimed at helping people maximize the food they have in order to eat well and waste less. Sessions are available to nonprofit and for-profit companies and focus on low-waste cooking, cooking on a budget, and more.
While we’re working to meet an immediate need for fresh, healthy food, we’re also committed to addressing the root causes of hunger and climate change and building a fairer food system. We do this through advocacy – and you can help!
Lovin’ Spoonfuls utilizes professional staff, rather than volunteers, to do the work of food rescue however there are occasional opportunities to support Lovin’ Spoonfuls’ nonprofit partners and events.
